Sunday Breakfast

Im at a hotel with an included breakfast, so my task was to find vegan fare within the selection. The box the muffins came in was on the counter, so could read the ingredients and see that they included eggs. I should have guessed that. I asked about the packaging for the bagels, but it was in the freezer downstairs. I decide to eat it on the assurance that most bagels are vegan. The multigrain ones arent shiny, so I know they havent been brushed with egg whites. The loaves of bread by the toaster still have their packages so I read the ingredients on the raisin bread. All vegan, except that it says "may contain" milk products.  I know that means its made in a facility where other things have milk ingredients so someone may have touched it, or some milk powder may have been flying around in the air. Im not going to be fanatical about that. I lightly toast some raisin bread.

Plus a glass of cranberry juice. I didnt see the ingredients for that, and I suppose some rats, earthworms and other small creatures were drowned during the flooding of the cranberry bogs for the harvest, but Mother Nature doesnt have a problem with drowning her own creatures, and the animals werent really a part of the process. I declare cranberry juice vegan.

It was good. It was enough food. It wasnt any different than what I probably would have had for breakfast anyway.
